This Privacy Policy describes how Diesels in Dark Corners ("DIDC," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the LiveStats event technology platform (available at didc.livestats.app), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our events and this website.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

• Event registration and sign-up information — name, contact information, vehicle name and details, and pulling class, when you register for an event online or on site.
• Payment confirmation — when you pay a hook fee online, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but never see or store your full card number.
• Roster information — driver and vehicle details entered by event staff for scoring and event operations.
• Basic visitor analytics — anonymous page-view statistics used to understand site traffic. We do not use advertising trackers.
• Push notification information — if, and only if, you choose to turn on notifications in our mobile app. See section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to operate our events and this platform, including:

• Processing event registrations and hook-fee payments
• Running live scoring, results, and season standings
• Publishing event information, results, and standings on this site and in our mobile app
• Improving the site and resolving technical issues

We do not use your information for marketing or advertising, or for any purpose unrelated to your participation in a DIDC event.

3. Public Display of Event Information

Live results, season standings, and rosters — including driver names, vehicle names, and class placements — are published publicly as a core part of event operations, on this website and in the DIDC mobile app.

4. Push Notifications in the Mobile App

Notifications are entirely optional. Nothing described in this section is collected unless you choose to follow a truck, follow a class, or turn on event announcements in the app. We never ask for permission when the app first opens.

If you turn notifications on, we store:

• The push token issued to the app by your phone's operating system. This is an address for delivering a message to that installation of the app. It is not your phone number, and it does not identify you personally.
• Your platform (Android or iOS) and the app version, so we can tell which builds are in use when something goes wrong.
• Which trucks, classes, and announcement feeds you chose to follow, since that is what determines which alerts you should receive.

We use this only to send the alerts you asked for: results as a truck you follow hooks, placings once a class is final, lineup and sign-up confirmations, and event announcements such as rain delays. We do not use notifications for marketing.

One case does connect a token to your name. If you register for an event from inside the app, your push token is recorded with that registration so the confirmation reaches the person who actually signed up. Outside of that, a token is not linked to your name, your registration, or your roster entry.

To deliver a message, the token is passed to Expo, which operates the push service, and on to Apple or Google, who run the notification systems built into your phone. They act as delivery services on our behalf. The message content is limited to what is described above.

You can turn this off at any time. Unfollowing removes that subscription. Turning notifications off entirely in the app deletes the token and every subscription tied to it from our servers. You can also revoke notification permission in your phone's own settings, which stops delivery immediately.

5. Payments

Online payments are processed by Stripe, which handles your card details under its own privacy policy and security standards. We do not store payment card information on our servers.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the platform (such as Stripe for payments, Expo together with Apple and Google for delivering notifications you opted into, and our hosting provider), and only to the extent required.

7. Data Retention

Registration and event records are retained for the duration of your participation in DIDC events and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, standings history, and audit purposes.

8. Security

We store participant data on secured servers. Access to participant records is restricted to authorized event operators.
